The St. Rita PTO fosters better communication and establishes a means for coordinated activities for the school community. The role of the parents in the formation of their children is considered primary by the Church. Therefore, the PTO assumes an important role in the continuing cooperation of parent educations and professional teachers.
The five major activities of the PTO are to:
1. Promote communication;
2. Provide parents and teachers with information;
3. Promote good will and cooperation;
4. Direct and coordinate parent support; and
5. Organize political action of parents as advocates on local, state, and federal legislation that affects Catholic schools.
In the past we have provided for the students:
-Health Fair
-Updates in Classrooms (Computers, Smart Boards & Books)
-Playground Equipment
-Class parties, Cocoa days, field day, trunk & treat, 8th Grade Graduation party
And for our Faculty we have provided lunceons, Christmas bonus, scholarship opportunities, funds for outside programs, and the monthly Mustang Express.
The St. Rita PTO is always there to support our kids, with positive olunteers. To get involved, you can email the PTO, by sending a message to pto@stritacatholicschool.com.
