Saint Rita Catholic School

Since 1928, St. Rita Catholic School has been a cornerstone of the Okolona community, providing a faith-filled education rooted in Catholic tradition for generations. Founded to serve the families of St. Rita Parish, our school has continuously evolved to meet the needs of our students while staying true to our mission of academic excellence and spiritual development.

Today, St. Rita Catholic School serves approximately 275 students from Pre-K through 8th grade, representing a beautifully diverse tapestry of cultures and backgrounds. Our school community reflects the growing richness of the Okolona neighborhood and the welcoming spirit of St. Rita Church. We are blessed to serve families of many ethnicities and traditions, united by a shared commitment to faith and learning.

In 2014, we launched a focused outreach initiative in partnership with the Catholic Education Foundation to make Catholic education more accessible for all families, including tuition assistance for those in need. This effort not only increased enrollment but deepened the cultural and spiritual richness of our school, reinforcing our identity as a place where all are welcomed, valued, and supported.

As we look to the future, St. Rita Catholic School remains committed to fostering a strong Catholic identity, academic achievement, and a deep sense of community rooted in inclusivity and respect for the God-given dignity of every child.
