Counseling

At St. Rita, the school counselor plays a vital role in supporting all students' academic, social, emotional, and personal development. Through individual counseling, small group sessions, classroom guidance lessons, and collaboration with teachers and families, the counselor provides a safe and nurturing environment for students to grow and thrive.

Our counselor helps students build important life skills such as problem-solving, empathy, resilience, and effective communication, preparing them for current challenges and future success. Additionally, the counselor promotes the development of virtues and faith, encouraging students to embody values such as kindness, respect, integrity, and compassion in their daily lives. Committed to fostering a caring and inclusive school community, the school counselor is here to support every child's journey toward becoming a confident, compassionate, and virtuous learner.

Learning Coordinator

The Learning Coordinator is responsible for overseeing programs that provide the educational assistance children with learning, behavioral, and/or attention difficulties need.

The Learning Coordinator will work collaboratively with the parents, staff, and students to provide the educational support needed for classroom success. This will include conducting assessments, meeting with students, staff, and family, co-teaching, working one-on-one with students, and monitoring all strategy and Student Accommodation Plans.

Catapult Learning Support Services

Catapult Learning is an academic support program offered through the Archdiocese of Louisville to help students strengthen their literacy skills. This third-party service provides after-school tutoring focused on remediation, with individualized instruction in small groups of no more than six students. Catapult teachers collaborate closely with classroom teachers and use MAP assessment data to tailor instruction to each student’s needs. The program runs from September through May, and eligibility is based on academic data, teacher recommendations, and student home addresses.
